The Fourth Kind movie review
This movie is disturbing. I have long been interested in Alien stories. This picture paints Aliens in a dark light and given that it is re enacted and original videos and recordings play alongside the movie's video make it all that much more disturbing. The worst part about this movie is the sound. You have to turn it way up to hear the people talk, and then when the Alien sequences come it busts your ear drums. Who ever did the sound for this movie should be shot or at the very least bitch slapped. I have to say that I am glad I don't live in Nome Alaska. The fact that our government knew about this, investigated it and covered it up is really no big surprise. That's what they do! Truthfully if it were common knowledge that Aliens existed and could just appear in your home and abduct you we would have mass hyteria. Of course, they are not going to abduct everyone, but I certainly feel a little less safe after viewing this film. There doesn't seem to be any other conclusion you can draw about how a little girl simply vanished from a home that was under police surveillance and it's occupants under house arrest. The testimony of the deputy in front of the house seeing the beam of light coming down when the little girl was abducted was frightening. Whether you believe it or not the implications are disconcerting. I would give this movie a 3, but because of the sound that made so difficult to view I am forced to give it 2 out of 5 hearts on the Heart Chart.
