8 The Mormon Proposition movie review
First of all let me applaud those who made this documentary. In these times when our media is bought and sold and the information we receive is determined by who has the most dollars instead of what is the truth, it gives me hope that we can still have a means to reach large audiences with facts they might otherwise never receive. According to official church documents the Mormon church made an unholy alliance with the Catholic church and masterminded this whole political campaign to write discrimination into California's state constitution. When Prop 8 passed it was the first time in California's history that a ballot measure took away rights of a segment of it's population. It is amazing that California only has a 2 % population of Mormons and yet they funded 71% of the campaign. Churches should never be allowed to use their power and influence to write law. This is why we have separation of church and state. Not only did the Mormon church stick their nose in something that was clearly none of their business, but they did it covertly with malice of forethought, and with their power and influence made tv ads that were complete lies and fed them to the general public. Regardless of who you are or what you believe, you should watch this film. If the two most powerful churches in the United States today can band together and commit what can only be categorized as a legalized hate crime, then what and who is next? The implications are frightening for those who choose to open their eyes. So on the Heart Chart 8 gets a 5 out of 5 hearts.

Best and Worst
Well I think we skipped last weeks Best & Worst. Photography experiment got interupted by a writing spurt, but we are back on track as of today... so here goes.
Best: C.j. is back from her trip. We sure missed her a lot. We had a great turn out at the Junkyard this week. Yay! Fun fun. Got some of my favorite Belgian sugar free chocolates delivered. Yummm. amberlynchocolatestore.com Finally fully switched from an old medication and now I am not so tired all the time. Yay. I am putting the finishing touches on my secret project. WoooHoooo! Lots of best this week.
Worst: Sugar free chocolates were melted when they arrived, doesn't change the taste at all just the shape, the fridge put things back in order... sort of. lol The heat wave came back....sighs...was so enjoying the cooler weather. The appeals court got the stay back on to keep same-sex couples from marrying until it is back in court again. ARGHHH!!!! Our step-mom is smoking worse than ever and it makes me sad cause we already lost our pop to lung disease. heavy sighs...
Funniest: The hot dog spraying juice all over my bosom at the junkyard when I bit into it. I don't know why this so often happens to me...sighs...but at least it makes for great entertainment. LOL
What I learned: That the 6th season of the tv show (Numbers) was the final season. It was poignant and ended well, but we are sad cause it was a bomb show and we will miss it. That scratchers have far better odds than super lotto. That the concierge at assisted living communities is also responsible for monitoring life alert like devices on some of the residents.

Beloved Dreamy Mailbox Update
This turned out quite lovely I think. I am pretty sure this will be the cover of the photo book on mailboxes that I plan to submit to the contest on blurb in the coming year. Noelle and I sat outside with umbrellas and cold rags for hours to make this happen. She painted, and I brought her everything she needed to keep painting. It was tiring, and at first she didn't like how it was turning out, okay she hated how it was turning out. wow. I thought for a moment she was just going to trash the project altogether. Luckily, although it was pretty warm, the real heat had not hit yet. Yay. I don't know if we could have stood it if it had. Love the new mailbox. Love it.

Photography Experiment Day 9
Best and Worst
Wow, it's that time again... I almost forgot this week...lol
Best: I am feeling better than yesterday. Yay. Got to have lunch with Renee today, so nice to see her. I have begun to work on a special project that I am very excited about. Reduced our spending this week, every penny counts. smiles. Had fun hanging at home with the Campos over the last weekend. Uneventful, but fun and relaxing watching blue collar comedy. I am writing some good poetry lately. Judge Walker denied the stay, and same sex couples will be able to begin marrying again. Lots of best this week.
Worst: The shower still isn't fixed. sighs... soon I hope. Found out the back gate needs to be fixed. ARRRGH! Noelle is putting in longer hours due to the construction at work and I miss her.
Funniest: Noelle's re-enactment of me banging my head on the shelf which had her in stitches on the floor....ouch!!!! That really hurt, but it was funny the way she depicted it. LOL Also my frustration level at its peak when the move tool in my frontier game wouldn't release the pig, and my exclamation "Drop the fucking Pig!!!! which nearly made Noelle fall out her chair laughing. sighs....
What I learned: I learned that Dee can be aggressive, who knew? That my previous employer was not just breaking fair housing laws, but labor laws as well. Not a big surprise really. That pumice really works and is quite handy. That there are tomatoes growing in our back yard, haven't been back there in a while. LOL That my baby can sew!
